Zara's book, his second one, entitled 'Nang leh Kei' was released today at 1:00 PM at Remphamly Studio, Ramhlun. At the release programme I was asked to say something. Being unprepared I uttered nonsense, everyone laughed.
Miss X, a close family friend of mine has been diagnosed with cancer. As I write she is at AMRI hospital, Kolkata. Her sister Miss Y and a close friend Miss Z are staying in Kolkata with her. It seems Miss X is not doing too well.
When Miss X felt sick she had consulted a doctor or two. And the doctors said she had tuberculosis, and gave her TB medicine, which she never responded to. Her condition deteriorated before long. But as the doctors kept telling her to take TB medicine she continued taking her medicine, not wanting to go against the doctor's advice.
The doctors at AMRI are saying that cancer has spread in all of her intestines etc. From what we know and see it seems that things are not looking too good and that it breaks everyone's heart to see her in this state. You know, there had been several occasions where I ridiculed and teased her. And she'd shout at me, but she would never really be angry.
The hospital bills have mounted, and I don't know how they are going to settle them. If only I had money to pay for the hospital bills. Tonight I made several phone calls asking friends to chip in money so that we could ease a little of their burden even in a small way. All the people that I called up agreed to contribute, and I am so happy! I pray that she be all right.
I am planning to meet with the people I called up after Sunday School tomorrow. I hope they come loaded.
I'd be glad to chip in too. pls text me ur bank acct no
